About this craft
Spend no scrap on this page. The Adobe gate has no blueprint and no research cost: you learn the stone gate, craft it at a Level 2 bench, and if the skin is yours, it comes out in sun-baked clay. Stones, bench and craft time are all the stone gate's.
So is the wait. The five gears still come from crates, road barrels and the recycler until someone has a Level 3 bench, and owning the skin does not make them any easier to find.
The game still calls it a high stone gate, and nothing in the rows differs, so the choice is looks. It earns its place in a ring of Adobe walls, where a grey gate would break the line.
